Who needs a Study Permit?
If you intend to enroll in a Canadian school or educational facility for more than six months, you must obtain a Study Permit. If you wish to study in Canada for less than six months, no Study Permit is required, but you will still need a Temporary Resident Visa
Before you apply for a Study Permit, you should collect the following documents:
A letter of acceptance from the school that you have chosen to attend
Proof that you have enough money for school fees and living expense.
You must also meet the requirements for a Temporary Resident Visa . Please note that you do not need to submit a separate temporary resident application form or fee. It is already included in your Study Permit application.

Every person who has lived in Russia or a CIS State more than six months and will be in Canada for six months or more will require amedical examination. Even if you have been resident in Russia for less than six months or your stay in Canada will be less than six months, a visa officer will determine if a medical may still be necessary.
